Hello, I’m Lulu, the owner and designer behind Lulu’s Primrose Bakery.
With 15 years of experience creating wedding cakes, I specialise in bespoke designs for weddings across Devon, Cornwall and the South West.
My love of cake design began after creating a wedding cake for a friend, and what started as a creative passion grew into the business I have today.
I work closely with each couple to create a cake that feels considered, personal and completely at home within their wedding, taking inspiration from the venue, flowers, styling and all those little details that make the day yours.
From the first ideas to the finished cake, I’m here to make the whole experience feel effortless.

I have a Master’s Degree in Law
What am I like to work with?
Organised, thorough and probably a little too detail-focused. I like things to be clear, thoughtful and done properly.
What’s my approach to cake design?
I like to start with the bigger picture. Once I understand the wedding as a whole, the cake design tends to fall into place.
How do I switch off?
Since moving to Devon I’ve developed a new found love for the sea. I love surfing, although I’m way more enthusiastic about it than I am talented at it!
Where else would you find me?
The gym. I’m a complete fanatic.
What matters to me beyond the cake?
Making the whole experience feel easy. I want you to feel looked after from the first enquiry to the moment your cake is set up at your venue.
